oil on a wooden panel 60x60cm...
Never Far
Soft light gathers at the centre, a quiet field of cream and pale beige that feels almost like a held breath. From this stillness, warmer browns and muted oranges drift outward, touched here and there by cool blue shadows. Fine, circling lines move through the surface like half-remembered thoughts, giving the piece a gentle sense of motion. Never Far carries the feeling of something close but just out of reach — an emotional nearness that lingers even as it recedes.

'THAR be piskies up to Dartymoor'

I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, pigment sticks, newspaper, and graphite to make marks, whichever fits the moment
UV protected, signed on the back. The work is on a plywood panel and is ready to hang. No further framing is needed
