61x61x5cm on cradled board.
Ashar’s Beyond Reality is a hauntingly poetic exploration of the surreal and the sublime. The canvas is enveloped in a misty gradient of grey and blue, evoking a dreamlike atmosphere where boundaries dissolve and perception shifts. In the upper left, a faint inverted triangle glows softly, like a beacon or portal, hinting at metaphysical dimensions.
On the right, a large pale circle, reminiscent of a moon or distant planet, floats beside a smaller orb, suggesting duality or cosmic alignment. These celestial forms lend the painting a sense of vastness and quiet awe. Rising from the lower centre, six dark, curved shapes emerge like shadowy figures or organic entities, half-formed and reaching upward through the haze. Their presence feels both mysterious and intimate, as if they are memories surfacing from the subconscious.
Beyond Reality invites viewers into a liminal space where time, identity, and meaning blur. It’s a visual meditation on emergence, transformation, and the unseen forces that shape our inner worlds.

The work is in oil on a wooden panel, with various media for mark-making. I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, pigment sticks, newspaper, and graphite to make marks, whichever fits the moment
UV protected, signed on the back. The work is on a plywood panel and is ready to hang. No further framing is needed
