76x76x5cm on cradled board.
This painting evokes a serene, contemplative atmosphere through its minimalist composition and subtle interplay of colour and form. A faint vertical white rectangle anchors the centre, suggesting a doorway or passage, while a more defined inner rectangle adds a layer of spatial intrigue.
The partial orange circle on the left, extending beyond the board, introduces warmth and asymmetry, hinting at celestial or symbolic elements. Ashar’s use of muted tones and geometric abstraction invites introspection, allowing viewers to project their own meanings onto the ethereal forms. The overall effect is meditative—balancing presence and absence, light and shadow, structure and openness.

I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, pigment sticks, newspaper, and graphite to make marks, whichever fits the moment
UV protected, signed on the back. The work is on a plywood panel and is ready to hang. No further framing is needed

There was a Door to which I found no Key:
There was a Veil through which I could not see
