Meet Me There, Beyond is a quiet invitation into a space of subtle geometry and emotional resonance. The painting unfolds in a muted field of lavender and gray-blue, with visible brushstrokes that lend texture and atmosphere. A vertical light blue rectangle near the center-right feels like a doorway or beacon—an abstract signal of arrival or connection.
On the left, three small light blue squares align vertically, like stepping stones or coded messages. A solitary red square in the bottom-left corner introduces a gentle tension, a pulse of warmth in an otherwise cool palette. In the lower right, a faint triangular shadow emerges, grounding the composition with a whisper of structure. I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, pigment sticks, newspaper, and graphite, as well as gold and silver leaf, to make marks whichever fits the moment. UV protected, signed on the back. The work is on a plywood panel and is ready to hang. No further framing is needed.
