That Green Light That Lingers in the West
A soft gradient of green—from yellowed light to deep shadow—evokes the final glow of day as it slips behind the hills. A single flare of yellow-orange hovers near the edge, like the last warmth before dusk. The surface is smooth, quiet, and atmospheric. This is a painting of endings and continuance, of light that doesn’t vanish but lingers—held in memory, in colour, in the westward gaze.

I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, and pigment sticks, as well as newspaper and graphite, to make marks that fit the moment.
