Through the Mists of Time drifts between memory and atmosphere, where form dissolves into suggestion. A veil of muted blues and purples creates a dreamlike field, soft and expansive, while delicate lines meander like stems, signals, or echoes of thought. Clusters of pastel colour—pinks, yellows, and blues—hover near the edges, evoking fleeting impressions of nature or emotion. The central openness invites reflection, as if one were gazing into a space where time loosens and meaning becomes fluid. This painting is a quiet meditation on presence, absence, and the gentle blur of recollection.
The work is in oil on a wooden panel, with a variety of media for mark-making. I use oil pastels, oil sticks, markers, scrapers, charcoal, pigment sticks, newspaper, and graphite to make marks, whichever fits the moment
